Job Title: Form Workers
Form workers construct wooden forms in which concrete is to be poured to erect concrete structures. They also dismantle forms once concrete has cured.
Duties: Assemble wood forms to shape concrete structures including footings, walls, bridges, columns and sidewalks. Dismantle and clean re-usable forms for re-assembly or storage. Assist with cement pouring using equipment such as pumps, conveyor belts, wheelbarrows, vibrators, leveling tools and chutes. Operate power equipment such as circular saws, concrete vibrators, compressors, tampers and oxygen and acetylene cutting tools. Perform carpentry work and install steel re-enforcement bars. Prepare and install scaffolding if required.

Pre-Requisites: Verifiable training or experience as a form worker. Minimum five (5) years experience in construction environment. Physically able to manually maneuver 80 – 100 lbs. forms around construction sites.

Wages & Benefits
Wages: $20 +. Variations depend on skills and experience. Annual income is approximately $50,000 to $60,000. Average 40 working hours per week. (Weekly hours may vary depending on climate, unions, and preparation of job sites)
Hospital and Medical Care Insurance: OHIP (after 3 months of starting work).
Others:

Spouses may apply for a work permit which is ‘open’ and will allow them to accept any job depending on whether or not a medical exam was taken. (except Construction Laborers’ spouses)

Temporary foreign workers are eligible for the same benefits and rights as Ontario workers.

Transportation to the work place will be provided by the employer.
